The Search For The Lost Badge

One more day before the Secondary One students join the squad. Many other Secondary Two students would be looking forward to tomorrow, but I was not. I had lost one of my badges and I needed to wear it for tomorrow on my Uniform. Luckily, I heard from one of my friends that a shop in Beach Road sold it. That lifted my spirits up immediately. I decided to go to the shop after school today.
I rushed out of the class after we were dismissed. My friend told me that the shops close rather early and I would be late if I did not rush to it. After a long bus journey, I finally reached the wholesale market.
There were a variety of shops there, each selling different uniform parts for the uniformed groups. I felt kind of nervous as I had never been here before. The stores were quite narrow and were close to each other. I could not see the badge anywhere. I decided to gather up my courage and ask one of the shopkeepers. She then told me the store number of the store that sold it. I thanked her and went looking for it.
It was difficult to look for the store as most of the shopkeepers hanged bags or uniforms on the ceiling which caused the store numbers to be covered. I finally found the store after a long walk. I saw the badge and heaved a sigh or relieve before buying it from the shopkeeper.
After this experience, I had learnt how to organize my things at home so that I would not lose them again. I was lucky that the badge could be bought, otherwise I would have to be severely punished by my Non-commissioned officers or Station Inspectors. I hope that such an incident would not happen again.
